What Does IDE & SCSI stand for?
IDE = Intelligent Drive ElectronicsSCSI = Small Computer System Interface
I'm pretty sure IDE, when first coined, stood for Integrated Drive Electronics. It came about when most of the HDD controller functions were moved to the Disk Drive, from the previous type of plug-in controller - hence "integrated" into the drive.
