What to do next?? Windows 8.1

Hey all,

Right my PC has stopped working I'm now unable to load Windows 8.1 and I am out of things to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Once Windows 8 boots I am presented with the loading screen (logo with spinning dotted circle) which it just hangs on forever I've waited 30+ mins, but nothing.

Sometimes after restarting I'm presented with "Preparing automatic repair" which loads, but to a blank black screen to which I'm able to move my cursor around, but that's about it.

I've created a Windows 8.1 Enterprise boot disc which I am able to boot into but, after selecting the language and clicking on "repair your PC" I get a blank blue screen that doesn't load anything. Again, I've waited 30+ mins. The same thing happens when I select "install" instead of "repair PC".

I really don't know what to try next any ideas?

Is there any files you need to get off the hard drive?

If not I would do a factory restore of the system, what make and model of PC / laptop do you have?
