What CPU temperature is normal

My amd 3800 single core is 46c and system temp is 32c, I have 4 web pages open and listening to internet radio. Task manager is reporting about 15-20% cpu usage. CPU fan speed is 2100rpm.

Is 46c about right? It seems just a bit high to me.

This is not very high, and should not cause you any problems.

I used to have a 3200 AMD cpu, which ran at around 62-64c, and is still going strong today, in a friend's PC.

OK, I was just curious. The machine is running fine.

Try downloading and running Core Temp - click here . The "Tj. Max" temperature is the maximum safe limit of your processor. Anything below that should be OK.
