What can this be??

Evening all!

I find that on certain websites I get a lot of red areas (Squares and rectangles), not sure exactly what they are covering up but it is sooo annoying.

I'm currently using IE8, I never had this prob with IE7. Has anyone come across this issue with IE8 before?

Many thanks as always!

Probably blocked pictures, reduce your IE8 security settings a little and see if that cures the problem.

As above you are not seeing graphics on the web page, you will probably get this in any mail you get also

Hi! I've changed the security level to medium, but still have the problem.

Should I reboot? Is there aomething else it could be?

Thanks again!

yes try rebooting, also it may be windows firewall stopping them loading

Ok, I've turned the windows firewall off as I use PC Guards. Is this safe?

Could it be something to do with compatibility mode?

Thanks for the info guys!

Crossbow, I've been through the Microsoft Help & Support link that you supplied; but still having the prob.

It's happening when viewing my yahoo inbox.

The images that are blocked are .gif images?

Any ideas?
