What bit rate for WMA

Am I right in thinking that WMA is the better file compression for audio files compared to MP3? I have recently purchased an MP3 /WMA player to use directly in my cars cassette deck. Also I seem to be storing the files at 128 kbps. Is this an ideal compromise? I am very new to music and video compression but am starting to understand it a little. I do like Windows Media Player 9 - is taht a little naive?

Hey, it's okay to like MP9.0. People like to knock it but it's not too shabby. Yes, WMA is a little better than MP3, or it seems to be thru' £20 PC speakers anyway. 128k is probably OK, though I use 192k as I'm not pushed for disk space. Whether there's much real-world difference, I'm not sure.
