Installed a HP 5530P PSC Multifunction Printer/Scanner/Copier on my WinXP Home machine and I noticed some changes after restarting windows, first was in User Accounts there was my name there as as Computer Administrator and another account had been generated with the name ASP.net which was Password Protected.

Does anyone know what this ASP.net acount un user accounts is all about please. Can it be deleted ? & why is it password protected ?

Other thing I use to be able to boot straight into the win XP Home desktop but since installing this HP device the machine stops and wants you to click on your name for getting to the desk-top (Most annoying) again not what I wanted.

Interested in your views.

Don't delete the asp.net account!! this is used by windows and you can cause trouble by deleteing it.

as for logging in, click start > run and type "control userpasswords2" , untich the box that says "user must enter a username"
