I have a BB connection for 1 mbps with a 1 Gb download limit. What is classed as a download? This area is pretty grey to me and seek some sort of clarification.

Can anyone help please!

All traffic that comes from your ISP to your PC is considered a download. Including all webpages, some of which can be quite large if they contain images, and especially flash animations, Internet radio, internet video streaming, basically everything!

I also believe most ISP's also count upload in your monthly limit.

Everything that comes to your computer from the NET including Web Pages. the more graphics the faster you will use it up so to save using it as fast, you need to turn of all pop-ups of and all graphics just surf in text mode
