What is ACPI?

In my BIOS settings I find this "ACPI". What does it mean? What changes will occur by enabling or disabling this function?

It is usually for advanced power managment of your pc.If you go into device manager at the very top of the list there should be a heading titled "computer" with a + next to it open it and it should say ACPI uniprocessor free if it does then your system is using Advanced power managment.

I think this is right anyway at least it shows on my pc lol.

Advanced configuration & Power Interface.

This power management spec. enables the OS to control the amount of power given to each device attached to the PC.
