A friend of mine is having a problem with his machine, which I am trying to fix, The problem is that it keeps crashing and on restart comes up with the fact that there are two problem files, neither of which can be found: they are:
c:\mydocs\ivan~1\locals~1\wer2temp.dir00\explore.exe,mdmp

the othe is similar ending in appcompat.txt

A search on google comes up with other people encountering the same problem but have not, as yet, found and solutions.

Anyone any ideas

Delete the entire minidump folder.

agree with VoG™, the minidump file is often the cause for bsod's.

Thank you very much for the responses.

I have found and deleted the files and all appears well so I will tick the resolved box.

Once again I have learnt a little more, thank you
