Weird problem with new laptop's dvd drive...

Hey guys

I got a new vista 32bit laptop yesterday and installed cod5 on it. no problem. Then I got cod4 for xmas along with gtr evolution and a top gear interactive dvd and none of these will work.

ALL of my older games will work fine but not these new 3. Very weird. You can hear the DVDs struggling to turn. You can hear the drive speed up, then slow down almost immediately and then make the usually clicking sounds. These dvds work fine on my desktop.

I thought it could be drivers so I deleted the drive from device manager and restarted and it installed the drive again but still the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas? Could it sill be a problem with the DVD drive even though the other stuff works fine?

Advanced Thanks and Happy Xmas.

The only light I can throw on it hhh123kid is that it may the the disc's themselves which is not unheard of.

I can't imagine it being the disks as they work fine on both my desktop and my brother's laptop.

Is it possible that it could be a problem with the firmware?

The model number that comes up in device manager is "tsstcorp TS-L633A" if thats any help?
