weird keyboard problem

as you may have noticed while im wirting this post, i cannot do anything with my shift keys or ctrl keys they all seem to do differant things as if the keyboard country has changed although under the reqional settings it say uk has anyone got any idea's why this is question mark

Try unplugging the keyboard and restarting without them plugged in, then plug them back in see if Windows recognises them again.

But do not plug in or remove with comp switched on, unless USB

i can't do anything with the shift or control key they don't do any symbols they sometimes open up applications, ive alos tried unplugging it then restarting with it plugged back in with no success, i have alos checked that there were no accessabilty options open, all the numbers and letters work fine as does tab, alt, im thinking it may be a faulty keyboard, what do you guys think
