Weekly Query

My weekly rent is £93.33. My Monthly rent is £437.76. £93.33 x 52 /12 = £404.43. How come the Difference? Thanks in advance..

52.14 week per year. How long is a piece of string! Work both to the same units ie days or years and them the should come out the same. You may also get a discount for paying monthly.

"How come the Difference?"

Perhaps your landlords should explain the discrepancy. I can't.

Do you get a rent holiday in December - plus a small discount for paying monthly?

Pay by Calender month or Lunar month?

there are more than 4 weeks in a calender month (excluding Feburary)

looks like your paying a pound a day more if you pay monthly rather than weekly.

What is the figure for the rent quoted on your tenancy agreement? Usually this is per calendar month and is calculated, as you have written, as 52/12 of the weekly figure. Anyway, the figure on the tenancy agreement is what you signed for and is what you should pay.

As DieSse mentioned this is a matter for your landlord to explain.

At less than £100/week it would appear that you are renting a room with other communal facilities. Perhaps the extra monthly charge is to cover electricity, gas, water, council tax, etc., etc?

More than four weeks in a month

I see you have ticked this one as resolved. What conclusion did you come to?
