Since I have been using IE 7.0 and the Google Search Engine on the intergrated toolbar, almost everytime I try and click on a link I get this message. The website cannot display the page HTTP 500 Most likely causes:The website is under maintenance. The website has a programming error. What you can try: Refresh the page. Go back to the previous page. More information This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.If I type in the address I have no trouble opening the website. This happens on a great many of what I call main websites like Amazon, Pricerunner etc. Has anyone else come across this problem
It sounds like a IE7 security problem, keeping you out. You can adjust these on a individual basis. By adding the page into the above settings in IE
Uninstall IE7. Start, Control Panel, Add or remove programs. At the top of the window tick Show Updates.
Done as advised but still have the same problem...seems strange but if I type in the IP address rather than click on the seach results then there is no problem
