Web sites words merge together or overlap

  Dukeofkenpas 17:51 30 Apr 2008

On a number of web sites that I visit (including this one! and National Rail)some of the words overlap each other. As there are so many and professional ones I cannot think that the web sites are at fault. In which case the fault lies with my computer (running XP, Media Centre, Nvidia GeForce 7300GT, plenty of memory and disk space.
Any ideas please?

Try reducing the text size by using Ctrl + the mouse scroll wheel with Internet Explorer or Ctrl and + or - with Firefox.

If a smaller size improves the situation you can then set the text size from View>to Medium (normally the best all round default).

Then it could be involved with your monitor's resolution setting (i.e. most likely high).

Yes you are right the setting was at its highest and lowering it one notch did the trick. Thanks
