Web Design Word Problem

  555 16:43 05 Feb 2003

I assume that I have to raise a new query??

This is what my previous note said:

I am a novice with the net, but have managed to put a website together and upload it using MS Word Office XP version & smart FTP. The text works fine, but the graphics that I have imported show in web preview in word, but do not show when uplifted to the net. All I get is an X and placeholder where the grpahics shoudl be.
Any ideas please

Many thanks to you all, I appreciate your time, and I realise I am a "dummy" This is the info some of you asked for: site click here (I have tried to put a logo in there .jpg file) on the home page I am using broadband guess that is ADSL? I have tried gif & jpg formats, neither work. The files are very small 4kb I uploaded the pictures are well as the .htm files
It looks like Iwillhave to try and use the "coffee cup HTML editor" that I downloaded, but that looks very very compicated.
The file locations are OK

I think you need the open and close tags 555 at the begining and end of your graphics. An example from viewing your code: <style>, </style>

Have you uplifted the actual graphic file (the one that's embedded in your Word document)it has to be uplifted separately

In other words on your files transferrred to your web site have you a something.jpg or a something.gif ??

If the image is in the same directory as the html page the tag would look something like <img src= "title.jpg">

If in another directory eg one called images it could look something like <img src="./images/title.jpg"> depending on the structure of the directories.
