web access problems

I recently had to clean install XP Pro SP2.
I now have the position that my ethernet card shows as newly installed each time I boot up even though latest drivers have been loaded. I can open some sites but with others it loads a blank page but still say"done". It looks as if it is sites where I have to sign in that are the affected ones.
I'm on another PC writing this but connected through the same modem/router as the affected one. I've searched various forums but cannot see anything relevant.
Any suggestions?

Have you tried cleaning out your Internet Cache ?

I think what you may have is a "Script Error" - have a look at this LINK and read ALL of the METHODS to check and/or make any adjustments.

If your Ethernet card is not functioning properly, you may wish to reinstall both the physical card, and new driver software.
Instructions below.
