Firstly what i want to do is watch sky tv on a spare laptop in the kitchen.
what i have is a tranmitter and reciever which plugs into scart. this allows me to watch sky in the main bedroom without any cables. I hardly ever watch tv in the bedroom so what i want to do is use it on a laptop to watch in the kitchen.
my laptop has an s-video output on it.
So does anyone know exactly what i will need to plug this tranmitter into my laptop using scart to watch sky. I believe i will probably need some hardware and software.
does anyone know exactly what i need. My laptop is XP home.

You will need a USB TV card
It will have an aerial input, so ensure the receiver has an aerial output. The laptop will also need an audio input socket.

It may be simpler to use a normal portable TV.

Sascha if you are gonna get a usb TV card try Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS as it will also allow you to view analogue and freeview digi tv.
