Want to make my Sony Tower WI-FI can you help??

Hi guys,Can you please help.Ive got a Sony Vaio Desktop bought in 2004 obviously it hasnt got the ability to be wi-fi .Since getting an Orange Livebox in Dec my speed as been really low around 127 Kbps???.I got BT in to test line and when they plugged in thier laptops were getting 2-3 Meg??.I have just recieved another Liveboxx this morning changed all the filters etc and is still low it must be my tower Via Ethernet connection.
BT guy advised me anyway to go WI-FI how do i do this and how much will it cost please.

If your Ethernet is using a wired connection, you could try a PCI Wireless Ethernet card instead.

If the speed drop coincided with getting the Orange Livebox I would be suspicious that the problem is still with Orange or the way it's set up on your pc.

If you're still suspicious about your present ethernet connection you could try a PCI networking card which will give you gigabit speeds

If you still want to go wireless I'd suggest going for a draft-N card

The wired option is cheaper, faster and easier.
