Wanadoo/Orange email problems

Suddenly can't send emails. Get message 'An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Emailing: index', Account: 'pop.####', Server: 'smtp.####', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Error: Message content rejected', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC69'

Any help would be greatfully rec'd

I presume you are using xp home sp2 with outlook express.

Try this:

Open OE .. goto tools..accounts...mail... post back what is there or try this

Once you get to the mail as above,double click pop wanadoo or orange or freeserve.

Then click servers
Incoming mail should read pop3

The next box should read

Incoming mail (pop3) pop.wanadoo.co.uk
Outgoing mail (smtp) smtp.wanadoo.co.uk

You may have to change Wanadoo to freeserve or orange.

Make sure the account name (your email address) is correct and the password is correct also.

everything looks to be the same as above. I'm unable to change
Incoming mail (pop3) pop.wanadoo.co.uk
Outgoing mail (smtp) smtp.wanadoo.co.uk

to Orange as these fields are greyed out.

How are you connecting - broadband or dial-up? If broadband are you connecting through another account?
I assume that is only a send problem that you have but please confirm that you can receive. First stage after connecting is often to send first then check receive.
Check if Orange webmail is working ok for you.
