Hi and a happy new year to all. I have fallen victim to a nasty that i cant remove.
[email protected]
I use the usual app's many of us here also use, ie: AVG,spywareblaster,ZA,ms-antispyware and ie-spyads, but this has sneaked through somehow.
I have tried googling but i am unable to reach many sites that would help me as this worm blocks my access.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Well presumably AVG detects it - won't it remove it?

AVG cant detect it.ms/antispyware flags it but i cant do anything with it.

Try Ewido click here

When installing, under Additional Options untick :

"Install background guard"
"Install scan via context menu"

Launch Ewido, there should be an icon on your desktop double-click it.
The program will now go to the main screen
You will need to update Ewido to the latest definition files.
On the left hand side of the main screen click update
Then click on Start Update
The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
Run Ewido Anti-Malware
Click on scanner
Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.

Once an infection is detected select "Perform action on all infections"

Thanks VoG™, the advice you gave sorted the problem out.
I think maybe the problem came about as a result of my ms/antispyware failing to update to the new version when the old version expired at midnight ?

Thanks again.
