VX2 Malware

I've got this little beauty and can't get rid of it.

Tried adaware with it's VX2 addon.
Tried Pest Patrol.
Tried Hijack This.
Tried deleating it manually.
Searched the internet and still the little bugger persists.

Problem is it hides and name changes it's files and it runs at startup, even in safe mode!So the files are always 'in use' and not deleatable even if you find them!

Currently I'm cleaning out my second hard disc. I plan to load a clean installation of XP on it and run Addaware from there. Hopefully if the main drive isn't running windows the files won't be active and be removable.

I'd hate to have to reformat my main disc to remove this crap but it might very well come to that!

Unless, that is you have any suggestions?

Trying the removal method now, I'll let you know how I get on.

I tried everything, I mean everything, even down to installing windows in a different partition and running Addaware from there. Didn't even see VX2 but it was still there.

In the end I trashed and reloaded windows. I'm hopeing the latest microsoft Anti-hijack update will stop it happening again.
