My wife is trying to access her works VPN from home, but for some reason it won't allow access. We've wired up the internet access via our Sky Netgear wireless router with the standard blue wire(this particular VPN does not allow wifi connections because of sensitive data). We can get access to internet explorer and everything else, but we can't access the VPN. Her work bods say that it's to do with the settings on our router. but I haven't a clue where to start. Any ideas?
I think what Redcap is saying is that you need to use a certain port on your router. With VPN's, everyone needs to be using the same port. This is usually set within the preferences in the VPN software on your PC in most cases, it is with mine. Does your wife does have the VPN software on her PC?
