Volume Label

hello people, i want to convert a fat 32 volume to ntfs but it want to know the existing volume label before it will go on any further, how do i finf the volume label. my os is xp

If its your PC's internal hard drive this is usually called C, I have not seen any PC that does not have the internal hard drive called this.

Once Windows has loaded up if you select my computer, this will show you a list of drives that are on your PC, one of them will be your PC's internal hard drive, this usually has a letter C in brackets.

Right click your "C" drive and select Properties. The top box of the dialog that opens should be highlighted by default and that is the Volume Label. If it is blank, there is no Volume Label.
