In an Office application press ALT + F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor.

Office includes Visual Basic for Applications, not Visual Basic.

If you want to program in Visual Basic you will need to obtain Visual Basic.

If you want to program within Word, Excel, Outlook or Powerpoint then Visual Basic for Applications is built into Office.

I want to program in visual basic. This is because I'm starting from the scratch to learn. do u advise that i programme in visual basic or in any of the office applications

If you program in VBA in Office you will only be able to 'automate' one or more of the Office applications. Having said that, with some trickery one can make a program written in Excel, for example, look nothing like Excel at all.

However, if you want to write stand-alone programs then you need Visual Basic.
