My taskbar has moved to the r h side of the desktop I am unable to reposition it. I can't drag it away or move it other than halfway accross the screen. Any ideas please

Right-click the sidebar, make sure Lock the Taskbar is not checked.

try dragging it towards the side you want instead of towards the middle...

Usually in this situation one would first right-click on the taskbar and make sure it is unlocked - then left-click and hold the mouse button down and then slowly drag the mouse down to the bottom of the screen. The task bar should then pop back into place, if it does, right-click again and Lock the task bar.

Not sure about Vista but this is how to do it with XP.

OK Thanks I've got it sorted now - the critical thing is to click the bar in the middle then drag it !
