Vista Password

We have not accessed my wife's computer for some time and now find that we cannot log on. We know the last password but it is not accepted, and when pressing the reset button it tells us that disc is required in Drive G - we have no idea what this is. How on earth can we get on to this wretched computer? Any help would be appreciated.

Also check caps lock isn't on (passwords are case specific)

Ophcrack works a treat (Google it) Its free and tells you what your password is.

The reset password ask for a disk that you made when you set your password, if you didn't make a disk then you won't be able to reset the password

Many thanks to you all. All is well now and this only confirms what a dumbo I am with computing.
