Vista Home Premium Network Problem

I know this has probably been asked many times before but here goes.

I've just upgraded my pc to a vista home premium and can't connect to my router wirelessly. I previously had an XP Pro with Sp 2 and everything was fine, since I upgraded the pc everytime I try to connect to my router I get the message " Windows cannot connect and after diagnostics the message appears " Wireless association failed due to an unknown reason"

The system is a Dell Dimension E520 and my router is a Linksys Wag54GS firmware version 1.00.08 and a Belkin wireless g usb network adapter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
