Whay when i installed windows vista it is installing Program Files (x86) and Program Files
=\?
and if it can be changed plz tell me how..

x86 I believe are the program files for 32 bit systems. Files =\? are I believe environmental variables. I dont know what they do but they are windows files. aine

I think that when you where installing Vista you did not select 64 bits? When I upgraded from XP to Vista I had to choose either. Did you have this option? Aine

I believe this is for the programs that are made for 32bit and programs for 64bit.
Though guessing,if a program is 32bit this will run in 64bit but a 64bit program needs to run in 64bit.

Is there a particular reason why you choose 64bit ?
