Has anyone got an epson p610 scanner to run on 32 bit vista? If so, where did you get a driver from?

Epson do not and probably will not have drivers for p610.

possible solution

download and install the perfection 640 Vista drivers and
select that driver in Device Manager / Actions...

just found this possible solution , but matt alan beat me to it.

Epson 610 and Vista works with these drivers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi all,

download and install the perfection 640 Vista drivers and
select that driver in Device Manager / Actions...

Your pc will recognize your 610 as a 640.
scans perfectly!!

scan button works.

by default, the whole page is scanned and Windows Picture Gallery opens the scanned document.
I can work in it from there.

Personally, i preffer Presto! Page Manager so i scan from that program and
in File/Select input Source, i select perfection 640 and the scanner scans perfectly from that application also...

Worth a try U guyz.... it works.

GoodLuck Y'uAll

Thanks guys. Will try suggestions & report later

Tried all above but still no joy. Vista will only reconise the scanner as a 610 & refuses to load the driver. Any more suggestions?

Try a programme called DRIVERMAX, its free and quite good.

Thank you Mat Alan. My scanner works with the program you pointed to. Can't get it to work with anything else yet but at least it's a start. Thanks to all for the suggestions
