Vista basic upgrade

  Qsand 15:44 12 Feb 2007

I'm running XP with latest service pack 2/AMD Athlon 64-3500+/video Geforce 6100 which meets Vista basic upgrade requirements. But when I load the disk to install nothing appears on screen. Any ideas gratefully received.

Open the CD with Explorer, look for Setup.exe and run it, if you can't find that, open Autorun.inf in Notepad and find the named file on CD.

Hi brundle. many thanks for your help.Setup exe didn't work for me but it jogged my memory. So if it's of any help to terryf I went to My Computer where the file name was displayed in disk (in my case 4) Click on that and you're away.
