Vista and Aol9 VR problem

  popgeoff 15:26 28 Aug 2007

I have a new notebook with Vista HP O/S. I downloaded Aol 9 VR. OK so far. Now when I log on to Aol with the notebook I can read and write e-mail but the normal Aol welcome page does not appear and I am unable to access websites. Also it keeps shutting down. If I open Aol from Internet Explorer everything works as normal.
Sending this query from my desktop with XP.
Notebook connects wirelessly thru Thompson Speedtouch router no problem
Any advice appreciated. Thanks

You could try this: right click AOL icon in notification tray and click on "one click fixes" in the list. Scroll down to AOL classic, this will reset AOL 9 vr to default state, click on "fix it for me " tab.

Thanks I will give that a try

RDave13. Thanks for the suggestion. However when I click on"one click fixes" nothing happens. Back to the drawing board! Someone at Aol says my problem is related to IE7 and phishing filters but offers no advice.

Yes; it looks like AOL VR isn't fully compatible concerning the one click fixes! I'd try an uninstall, reboot and reinstall. click here
