Hi,

I'm about to connect a laptop wirelessly to my main PC which has Norton Anti Virus 2004 protecting it as well as a hardware firewall (via the router).

I am about to renew my subs with Norton for another year - is there an option by which I can protect two pc's?
Would it matter if I used another anti-virus programme?

Last question - Main PC has XP laptop Vista - will I encounter any networking problems?

thanks

Instead of renewing your subscription for an old antivirus program you may want to consider upgrading to a current version. Most modern Antivirus and Internet Security programs can be installed on 3 computers. click here for Norton's offerings.

You can use a different AV program on your laptop if you prefer and might want to look at AVG Free version click here.

There can be problems networking Vista and XP but your best option is to try it and post back with any specific problems.

As Eric10 Said

Don't bother re-newing your Norton Antivirus Get Rid of it.

Head Over here ---> click here to remove Norton From your PC.

Then goto click here and get

Avast Antivrus or AVG as your main virus protection
Zone Alarm or Comodo Firewall as one of your firewalls.

Antyspyware

Spyware Terminator
Spyware Blaster
Super Antipyware
Spy Bot Search And destroy
A-Aqared

To Tidy up your PC as well get ccleaner

All of Which can be found from filehippo.com

Good Luck

Yeah I agree with the above.

I use AVG and I've used Avast in the past. There both free but excellent too!

Also Comodo and Zone alarm are good free firewalls.
