My cousins computer is badly infected.587 infected files, 317 files at risk, 564 damaged files. All files are quarenteened. Norton recommend deleting them.Shall i delete them??Shall i delete all system restore points???Will crapcleaner remove and unwanted entries to the registry that the infections have made or will the Av do this??1 of the viruses has caused her dial-up number to be altered and also her dial-up username!!!To retrieve these codes i did a system restore before i installed Norton AV and scanned.
anybody plz???i dont want to do summat to knacker the gals computer!!!shes an msn mad freak, she wud kill me!!!
If they are quarientiend then they computer cant access them and therefore if it still works then they can be deleted. With that amount of viruses (and probabily loads of spyware) might it be a good idea to back up all wanted data and do a reformat and start a fresh. If you plan a format and get everything ready there is no need to spend longer than 2 hours doing it...
