My virus protection tells me that this worm has infected my XP system - and it cannot remove it from a number of files. Any ideas please!

as  ÑÌÇKÑÂMË says turn off system restore.run the scan, delete the virus and then re enable system restore again.

start/control panel/performance and maintenance/system/system restore click turn off system restore.

turn on again after scan as above, tick box.

..or yet again.

Copy and paste, if you need it, from "http:" through to "@mm.html" without, of course, the quotes.
