hopefully you have only avg av installed on your computer and you used the appropriate version of the Norton removal tool click here to get rid OF the Norton ?
google says

you nay need help on a specialist forum to get cleaned
meanwhile try running the free for home users version of

and your windows version might help; also is system restore turned on?

Im assuming its

Trojan Horse Dropper.Small.10.AN

Run AVG in safemode, once the trojan has been placed in the virus vault...clean the vault (delete).

You may need to disable system restore for this to be effective as this trojan creates a lot of registry entries...hence why its currently reproducing.

I have done this and it still comes back,i can work out how to turn system restore off.
Also when the scan comes to an end,the ifection does not go into the virus vault,it says 1 file error while healing.

Does it go into the quarantine box.I think you can still delete it from there. If you have any spyware programs downloaded I would try running them and see if they find anything.

  neil67 11:34 02 Jan 2008

no it does not even go into quarantine box, have tried loads of spyware programs nothing else will pick it up

  birdface 12:04 02 Jan 2008

Did you mean you did not know how to turn system restore off.Or that you did.

  neil67 12:11 02 Jan 2008

i dont know how to switch it off,

ok; my suggestion to get you sorted is to go to either

both are specialist forums who have different rules to this forum; get registered with ONE of them and follow the instructiosn to get a log checked out to see exactly what IS going on ; once you have posted a HJT log for checking WAIT for a trained helper to get back to you

that I think is your best option ; as the tools they ask you to use will analyse carefully what IS on the computer and can get you cleaned up

can you tell me is the infection really bad
As i am a novice when trying to sort problems out,it does not seem to be affecting my computer so could i live with it or is it a big risk
