Don't open any emails from [email protected] that say approved and/or with a reference number in the subject line. The attachment contains a worm virus. My friend opened it today and had to disinfect and delete it.

Thanks vienna1981.

I trust that Microsoft will do something to stop this. If anyone has the power, surely they do.

A friend just e-mailed me with a copy of this virus, Norton did not pick it up. I did not open it.

Watch out!!!!!

has now been added to many anti-virus packages.

So make sure you are up to date.

Hope no one is unlucky enough to catch it.

unfortunately the mcafee virus scanner on hotmail accounts IS NOT picking up the file as being infected! so the best bet is just to delete the email without opening it.

Unfortunately I oppened it, noticed my machine ran like a 486 after that, in desparation I decided to hit system restore (win xp pro) everything seems ok now, should I be doing something else as well?

Yes run your anti virus scan as it will still be on your system and if you haven't got one get one now.
