An html virus came in with an e-mail, which was picked up by AVG.
AVG cleaned it but it is still showing up when I run a virus scan, even after re-boot.
Any suggestions.

If you have Windows ME or XP you need to disable System Restore

Thanks, but it's win95.

What is the name of the virus?

  NotsoNewuser 23:44 04 Feb 2003

AVG did not specify a name just giving the suffix .html

Ho, Hum. Thast is really helpful of AVG. Of course I know of it but am not familiar with it. I suggest that you do a free on-line scan at click here and/or click here and/or click here

and report back with the virus name. Otherwise it is needle-in-a-haystack for potential helpers.

Surely if you click on Test Results and then Detail Info it shows the virus name?

No name, just says Warning, hidden extension. Healed OK.
It logged it as being in the Temp.Internet Files so I've deleted every HTML file in there and will see what happens.
The message came with the text "bigger is best" so I was going to forward it without opening to [email protected] when AVG found it.
