i keep getting virtual memory too low
i have a 40 gb hard drive can any one tell me the best settings i.e lowest and highest i should set it at

To adjust your virtual memory settings. Right click on 'My Computer' icon and select 'Properties'. Then open the 'System Propteries' box. Select the 'Advanced' Tab and then click the 'Performance Settings' button.

Then 'Performance Options' window with two tabs. 'Visual Effects' and 'Advanced'. Click on the 'Advanced' tab.

Go to the 'Virtual Memory' section and click 'Change'. This opens the 'Virtual Memory' window.You can either select 'System managed size', which means Windows XP will control the size of the virtual memory for you.

Restart your PC to let the changes take effect...

How much real RAM do you have? - and how much space do you have left on your hard drive?

It should be i think 1.5 times the amout of Ram in the system,if you are getting the message it may be your drive is getting to full try uninstalling some stuff or deleting the crap with
