OK. It's not the end of the world. But every time I reconnect my virgin broadband through the speedtouch modem and the virgin software, it automatically opens the virgin home page.

Has anyone found a way of bypassing this?

have you tried seting your homepage in ie tools internet options?

Follow handyd's suggestion (plus General tab) AFTER opening the page you wish to be your Home page.

Then click the Use Current (page) button.

It still automatically seeks out virgin's page. I think it is something that they embedded in the software :o(

Sorry for the delay in response - it's been somewhat hectic here!

That link to spyguard brings back a blast from the past to me.

Investigation into my speedtouch 330 modem shows that the opening of the virgin home page is programmed in - by virgin, and there is no real way to do anything with their programming. It doesn't, however, mess up my normal 'about blank' default or anything.

So, I shall bear with it until more pennies are available and I can afford a decent router/modem such as Linksys or Voyager and the new rules on MACs and changing ISPs comes into force in a few weeks time.

Have you tried downloading the 330 Speedtouch drivers from the manufacturer's website> See:
