Virginmedia (formerly NTL) offer a free anti virus/firewall to their subscribers has anyone used it and is it any good. I am always a bit dubious about owt for nowt.

There is plenty of very good "free" software available for PC security, including Zone Alarm firewall, Avast and AVG AntiVirus, SpywareBlaster and dozens of others.

However, although also a Virginmedia Cable user, I do prefer to select my own security programs and would always avoid something bundled by an ISP.

Also with Virginmedia but do not use security package.I have used it and thought that it was very poor.It was one of the reasons that I started using this forum years ago.and I am quite happy using the freebies.
