i am running virgin net 24/7 and they have sent me an email saying that the internet number is going to be updated? there servers are down so i cant access the link they produced? has anyone done it already so i can foloow there steps?

What are you expected to do at this page?

they want me to go to thre page and folllow the instructions and change the number
as after a the old number will not work.

I see. Sorry then (as you suspected) you need to wait for the server to come up or someone else to tell you the number.

I got this email too but wasnt convinced so I phoned Virgin tech support.
There ARE new numbers for 24/7,to be on the safe side just insert them manually.
They are 08089933070 or 08089909030.Go to control panel/internet options/connection/settings/properties then type in the new numbers.
Seems to work ok.
