I have just been to virgin shop where I got a 1gb alcatel usb mobile modem. When i plug it in, avira antivirus warns of Malware Found namely:- ('TR/Dropper.Gen' was found in file 'G:\Virgin Mobile Broadband Install.exe'. Access to this file was denied. Please select a further action.
Why should Virgin sort anything out, they don't have a problem its your Avira antivirus program that giving the false positive and causing this message. Why would you pull the plug on Virgin Media if you've been with them for 15 years and your antivirus program is giving out false positive errors.
Very easy fix for this CHANGE YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM.
I really can't see why your going to leave Virgin because of the problem with YOUR ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM, have you thought that if you get a dongle from one of the other ISP's you might just get THE SAME PROBLEM, change your antivirus proble to something like AVG, Microsoft Security Essentials etc. Seems more like cutting your nose off just to spite your face.
