Viewing JPEG Files on a DVD Player

  swanson2 18:45 11 Mar 2005

I have just copied 200 digital photographs in JPEG format to a CD.

The files are numbered 1.jpg to 199.jpg and are in the order I want to view them.

When I try to play them in my Toshiba DVD player they appear in a different order to the one in which I saved them.

Can anyone explain what is happening and what I might do to rectify it?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's the collating sequence, you should have numbered then 001 to 200. i.e. looking at each digit from the left, 1 will be followed by 11, then 110 to 199. Those starting with 2 will not appear until all the 1s have been viewed.

I didn’t quite get the sequence right but I’m sure you know what I mean, i.e. 1, 10, 101-109, 11, etc.

Thanks a lot for that BurrWalnut I will renumber them accordingly.
