View your BT bill online

Everyone on dial-up internet is at risk of rogue dialers, which only become apparent when you receive a massive phone bill.

A timely reminder, therefore, that you can view your call charges on-line. Follow the prompts to register: click here

Have been using this for about two years and when changed from surf time to broadband was able to check that I was not still being charged for the
surftime package after having cancelled it. Yes it is a good system

hey its also a good idea to watch your children as they are just as bad as a rouge dialer manely the teenagers and porn site can run your bill up too

if you change over from a dail up modem to broadband make sure that you diasble or disconnect your modem as if your modem is still connected to the phone line rouge dialers can still DIAL OUT

Ive used this way of monitoring my Bill for a fair time now. however be aware it only gives the total to date, which is fine for some.. You can also elect to have call barring added to your line using a selected "secret" code input prior to any long distance/national/premium rate calls.which then encourages the rest of em to use their own phones....LOL

"Everyone on dial-up internet is at risk of rogue dialers"

It's worth adding that everyone on BB is also at risk if they still have their dial-up modems connected to the 'phone socket.

well this is old skool stuff but still very effective...I was a teenager once and using the u can imagine the phone bill but I always managed to cover my tracks from my parents...but I am not saying its a good thing to do but the kids these days are very unaware of all the crap that is floating around the internet I know I wouldnt want my little one to be subjected to such stuff. rogue diallers can still affect broadband users so you have to be really careful...what to do is make sure your old dial up modem is not connected to the phone line cos if it is and a dialler comes in it will disconnect from the broadband and try to connect thru the dialler using your dial up modem...

Thanks Graham ®. It also helps if one can do so for the environment - I mean checking one's bill online & opting for paperless billing (may not suit everyone). G
