which windows version are you running? If 98, did you select to install multimedia?

you need "codecs" installed to decompress the different types of file compression. click here to get codecs

Hi eccomputers, I am running Windows ME

ME has a memory leakage issue, so it could be connected. What player r u using to view?

  terryp96 22:09 19 Jun 2003

Hi MichelleC I am using Windows Media Player.

have you got it set up to auto download codecs and liscences , if so you want to cancel these options and download 3rd party codecs

  terryp96 22:34 19 Jun 2003

Hi Pinka how do I check this out

  pinka 22:37 19 Jun 2003

open your media player and goto tools - options and uncheck the appropriate boxes .

Hi again Pinka, see what you mean but where do I load the 3rd party codecs, sorry to be a bit dumb

  pinka 22:47 19 Jun 2003

no problem , loads of places , just go do a google search and type say xvid codec , you should get plenty of choices , there is a kazaa codec pack that covers pretty much anything you will come across .
