Could be you need these Win98/Me drivers? TC. click here

Win98 support DirectX v8 but not v9 where as XP supports DirectX v9 ok.

So as my m8t Crossbow7 & TopCat® you need older drivers for Win98Se.

Same happens with Nvidia drivers they don't like newer versions.

This is almost a duplicate thread to the one you posted on the 4th.
Perhaps you considered the advice given in the original was of no use to you?Either way,it would be courteous to at least let the ones-myself included-know the outcome of the suggestions given.
That way, anyone else who has a similar problem will know

The other thread click here.

Btw, downloading them directly from the ATI/AMD website works fine for me. The download server may have been down the day you tried them. G

NewestRoyWidd1 did n't mean to be rude but I was n't getting the ansewr I needed in last post so decided to come at it from a different angle, I still need MICROSOFT drivers for the card not ATI drivers for the card, the Ati drivers will not load as card is not recognised (Driver says ATI card not present, I DO appreciate all help I get from this site

  karmgord 21:42 07 May 2008

P.S,still after an answer to why win98se does n't recognise such a common card PnP therefore preventing me loading the ATI drivers,it can't be the card as alls well on the xp pro boot.

That's fair enough,I really hope you get the answer you're looking for,but it looks like you may struggle to get it.
Sincere good luck in your search.
