Hi,

I have a TINY laptop with an ATI Radeon mobile 128mb video card.

The resolution is set to 1028x768 and I know it can go higher, but when I select a higher resolution the pixels just stay the same size and the screen scrolls when I move the mouse to the edges instead.

I have changed my monitor to standard plug'n'play 1600x1200 but this doesnt make a difference.

Please helpt!

thanks James

Think you will find, that as it's a Laptop. It's Fixed. It does not matter if the Ati Software says you can change it. It's what the Monitor allows.

Your screen has a fixed maximum resolution and as woodchip states 'It does not matter if the Ati Software says you can change it. It's what the Monitor allows.' reigns.

Thanks for your replies,

I know the laptop can do a higher resolution - I had it set to this when I first got the laptop. Since then I have updated the video card driver and this has messed things up.

I've also read the specs for my laptop, and the screen can support 1600x1200.

I just cant figure out how...!
