Video Files / Codec help (again)

Hi all,

I just to recap I have various video / movie files on my PC that when played on either windows media player, DivX player or Power DVD they would not be displayed correctly (blurry, brightness is really high etc etc).

1) I know its not the actual video / movie files as if I play them on my laptop or on a friends PC they are displayed fine.

2) Inlight of above I was then thinking the codecs for the files were corrupted in some way so (from recommendation from this forum) I installed K-Lite Mega Codec Pack 1.03 and rebooted the computer but with still no luck.

Has anyone one got any ideas why this is doing this and how to fix it.

BTW the files are all .avi files some are encoded in DIVX and some are not

Cheers
