I need some free software that will edit some mpegs I have. I need it mostly to take out certain shots and save as photos (jpegs etc) and also to take out unwanted parts of the video. Thanks.
Thanks De Marcus™ but that seems far to complicated for me!!
If the final result isn't to be burnt to DVD, then Windows Movie Maker should do all you need.
Windows Movie Maker may do the job. It has split the video into 5 clips but how do I save each one as individual mpegs?
In movie maker and once you have split your clips, drag the one you want to save separately to the timeline, go to file, save movie file and the rest is easy. You should have a separate clip now.
If it's like pinnacle each clip should allow to play and you should have sliders so you can edit bits out
To save a scene as a still in Moviemaker, there should be in the preview window a camera icon - just click on that.
WMM is NO good for producing a DVD. David
I don't think anyone's disputing that.
