Can anyone advise me on putting my videos on to dvd i have lots of family videos from the past and with video machines becoming obsolete these will become useless, 20 years of memories down the drain. I use win xp home edition

The route I took was to buy a DVD Recorder, connect the VCR to it and transfer them to DVD. It's worked really well quality-wise.

quality might depend on model of recordable player as well?

As its coming of vhs most recorders will do a decent job though maybe not the supermarket models.I would go that route Staaker.

The quality will depend on how good the original vhs copy is,not the make of recorder
